Ingredients

250g bread flour, plus extra for dusting
150ml warm water
1 ½ g dried baking yeast
1 ½ tbsp low-fat spread

1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 tbsp garlic granules
½ tsp salt
Calorie-controlled cooking spray

Method

Step 1: Put the flour, sugar, salt and garlic granules into a large mixing bowl. Stir through the yeast and make a well in the centre. Pour the warm water into the well and whisk together to form a soft dough.
Step 2: Turn out onto a lightly flavoured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes or until smooth and springy.
Step 3: Mist a large baking sheet with the cooking spray. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into balls. Arrange the balls on the baking sheet so they are almost touching.

Step 4: Mist some plastic wrap with the cooking spray and cover the dough balls. Leave in a warm place for 35 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Step 5: Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220 °C, fan 200 °C, Gas Mark 7.
Step 6: In a small bowl, combine the spread, garlic and parsley to make garlic butter. Set aside.
Step 7: Remove the plastic wrap from the risen dough and bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
Step 8: Set aside to cool for 5 minutes, then brush with the garlic butter to serve.
